Cruzeiro vs São Paulo
Cruzeiro comes from two home under 1,5 victories. Seen them against Vasco, their last match, and their solid away win 1-3 shown that they are a counter team. We saw them against Botafogo and even dominating they were better on counters. São Paulo fired coach Leão, after losing at Copa, and assistant coach comes in a more defensife 3-5-2, but both defenders that are coming in are slow and a bit retarded, hehehe. São Paulo used to have the ball possession with Leão, but the terrible finishes gave the record of 6 under 1,5 out of the last 7 matches. the other one was a 2-0 defeat :(
Hard to take a winner here, but Cruzeiro DNB looks kinda nice, as the first half looks goaless or at least with two very defensive minded teams. SPFC might start attacking and at least having the ball, as we saw against Coritiba away, and they did in all the other matches, but their lack of quality on finishing and the spaces in the defense can make it easier to fast and talented Montillo (argie Cruzeiro nr 10, fantastic player).
This has been a match with some nice encounters in the last seasons, with matches with goals and all, but this two formations killed my good intentions, and I won't consider any over if the teams comes to the pitch as expected.
Luis Fabiano can of course receive more cards (14 yellows this year), but Lucas can play a bit more relieved as he, and a lot of other players, didnt like the fired coach.
Nautico vs Fluminense
Náutico looks like another Atlético Go for Flu (their last match 1-4), and I'm really into over 2,5 e Flu MO. Deco was brilliant in the last two matches, with assistances and goal. Even though, lets see how he can perform at the TERRIBLE pitch of Aflitos. Nautico misses for the match their main goalscorer Araujo, but counts on a midfield that has excellent passes and that can find spaces at the not so solid defense of Flu, and I believe they can score, also because their fans are really supportive and pressures a lot. Wont be a surprise with 2 goals in the first half. Of course it can all be blown by the terrible pitch, but even without Fred, Flu managed to play a very good match against Atlético GO. Pay attention to Nautico's defense and a possible red card, they are quite nervous and sometimes violent.
Vasco vs Ponte Preta
Vasco is the big favorite of the day, with of course shitty odds, also because of the return of Juninho Pernambucano. Ponte Preta, though, comes from an away win against Botafogo and home win against Corinthians reserves, what gave them some nice morale. Their counters are fast and they have some nice talented forward men. Although, especially because of the way it came, I can't see Vasco losing this match. With Juninho, also, the team wont be so exposed to the ridiculous mistakes and bad passes in the midfield, as against Cruzeiro, what killed their defense. I'll have an eye on Vasco HT e over 2,5.
